Festive Treats: Easter cake

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend!

For us it meant an early Sunday morning egg hunt for the kids, a piece of this lovely Easter cake and for my son and myself it also meant going to the cinema to watch The Hunger Games (after reading the books I am officially addicted).

Back to the cake though: I'm very lucky to be married to someone who loves to bake. The cake was very light, filled with whipped cream and pineapple and topped off with chocolate shavings (after all, it's an Easter cake, right) and of course I couldn't resist adding a little colourful bunting to the cake.

Too bad it's gone now...

Festive Treats: Sweetapolita Blog

While on the lookout for party cakes and cupcake recipes I recently discovered the Sweetapolita Blog and I completely and utterly fell in love with it.


Not only do I LOVE the look of her blog (I was not surprised to see that it was designed by Aeolidia) but it is filled to the brim with recipes of cakes and cookies and other delicious treats and best of all: gorgeous food photography with a few shots of her beautiful little girls here and there.
