Birthday girl

Nine years ago I gave birth to a little girl. I had convinced myself that we were having another boy but to my very pleasant surprise our tiny bundle of joy turned out to be a girl. Visions of pink and pigtails and braids and cute twirling dresses...

Happy birthday my girl. It's hard to believe that you're already nine.
Characterwise you are almost a mini-me. I recognize so much of my own character in yours.

I made you that dress. It was the best dress for twirling. I loved watching you twirl and still remember taking this picture.

You spend most of your time reading and drawing. You are incredibly talented. Never stop dreaming, never stop twirling.
